Just a Quick Update

While I am sitting here at my son's house waiting for my grandson, Tommy, to get home from school so we can go pick my granddaughter, Hagan, and her friend up at school and we all head out to a beach house on Anna Maria Island (yes, I'm bragging!!!), I thought I'd bring you up to date on what has transpired with my sister, Karen.

The night before I left, she asked to be taken to the emergency room with stomach pains. Long story shortened, she required an appendectomy, but her oxygen levels were very low and of concern. She remained in the hospital for 3 days. Since her release, she's been on oxygen at home. She is supposed to make an appointment with her G.P. next week to have her oxygen levels tested to determine if she is able to discontinue using the oxygen machine.

I don't quite know what all of this means since I've not spoken with her doctors, but I know that it can be life-threatening. Maybe I'll know more after she sees her G.P. and after I return home.

In the meantime, I'm off to pick up Hagan!
