I Got My Wish

I'm taking a vacation.

Tomorrow morning I am leaving for Bradenton, Florida for a week. My youngest son, Chris, and his family live there. I can hardly wait. It's a two day drive, but I'll take it easy, both going and coming home.

After my visit, I will drive home and rest for a couple of days, then head to San Francisco to visit my oldest son, Mike, and his family for a week. The drive to their house takes three days each way. It's worth it.

I'm going to get in some serious mom and grandma lovin'.

I'm just about completely packed. Among others, I am taking these flip-flops...

I call them my Hagan flip-flops because my granddaughter Hagan has a similar pair. Her aunt (her mom's sister) made them for her by tying balloons around the straps of ordinary rubber flip-flops. I thought they were so original, so clever and so cute, I made a pair for myself. Of course, they look much better on 8-year old feet than 65-year old feet. As a matter of fact, they look rather silly on me. But I don't care. I like them anyway.

I'm taking my computer with me, so I hope that I will have a few minutes here and there to update my blog.

SO glad you're getting to visit your kids! I think it will do wonders for your soul :) I'm also getting to visit my family at the end of the week {fingers crossed}!

Enjoy...and drive carefully.
