Yes, I know....

I haven't posted regularly. I've been lazy. I've been scared. I've been worried. I've been preoccupied. I haven't slept much. And then some.

There's not much to write about, unless you want to hear me whine. I can't even stand my whining any more.

We are in the middle of another fight. The Kroger store beyond the buffer behind our property wants to expand into a SuperCenter and has applied for the buffer zone to be rezoned to commercial. Oh, joy. The planning commission denied their application [whew!] and Kroger appealed to the City Council. The matter was supposed to be on the City Council agenda this past Monday, but apparently Kroger did not submit their appeal by the deadline, so it's rescheduled for October 12th. In the meantime, one of the council members responded to a comment I left in response to an article in our local newspaper concerning the outcome of the planning commission meeting in which he proceeded to say that he had already decided to vote in favor of the rezoning and we should just suck it up and see what Kroger will do for us to "minimize" the impact of having a big SuperCenter and gas station within 20 feet of our back yard (I NEED a sarcasm font!!! Somebody please develop one!). Which prompted me to write a two page email to said council member and copy the remaining city council and mayor.

It is no wonder today I have the first full blown migraine I've had for over four or five years. Even the breeze from the fan wafting across my cheek is painful, as is blinking, which feels more like a "clang, clang, clang" every time my eye closes.

What else. Well, I missed being in California for my granddaughter's 8th birthday, and my grandson's 15th birthday in Florida, and will probably miss my other granddaughter's 9th birthday in Florida, as well as my favorite aunt's 80th birthday, which I have been looking forward to for months. Golf Delta Mike Foxtrot Sierra Oscar Bravo!!

I think it's time to take a shower and wash the doom and gloom away for the day. No face scrub today, but a nice moisturizer would be nice. Blow dry my hair. Maybe even put on some earrings. Then...Martini anyone??

Sending you cyber hugs, (((Terri))). I know the feeling all too well lately. Too much worry and fretting to post anything that anyone would want to read....and then when I sit down to post I can hardly find the words to be and stay positive.
