Just in Case We Are Tempted to Forget...

Things are not going well in these United States.

Congress is voting to pass bills that will not protect consumers, but still provides advantages for large banks and lending institutions. Too big to fail is still possible.

Despite passing health care legislation, health care costs continue to rise and folks continue to lose everything because of huge medical bills, or lose their lives due to lack of medical care.

The Gulf is the victim of the worst environmental disaster in all of mankind, with no end in sight.

And, U.S.A. lost to Ghana yesterday in the World Cup.

The birthers, teabaggers and other wingnuts are ranting and raving "drill, baby, drill", warning us about our "socialist" President, proposing underground electrical fences to police our borders and militia groups are recruiting members to overthrow the government. But, it could be worse. Dubya could still be our President.
